The Lakota tribe believes dreamcatchers
catch and hold the good dreams and let the bad dreams pass so that they
evaporate before the coming of the morning light. Dreamcatcher Books has
much of that same vision. We strive to nurture those books that
challenge people to dream of a better world and provide the tools to
make those dreams a reality.This
does not mean avoiding difficult issues. No one can let the bad
experiences pass, allowing them to "evaporate" without acknowledging the
dark side of reality. Whether it’s encouraging a better life for the
incarcerated and their families, nurturing the best of rural America,
closing the gap of trust and understanding between diverse groups or
more, Dreamcatcher Books is there to serve.
